Peer Support - For Foster Caregivers

Provides a mentorship and peer online group support for foster parents and caregivers.
Caring Families Society (formerly Foster Parent Support Services Society – name changed Jan, 2025) provides targeted and accessible support, education and networking services to enhance the skills of foster caregivers so they can bring the best care possible to the children in their homes. The following services are offered:
  • Private Facebook Group Support: The Foster Caregiver Connection Facebook Groups were created to offer caregivers a way to come together in a safe, virtual space to support one another. Click here to join a local group.
  • Peer Mentoring Program: A Mentor Program for Foster Parents. For more information and to apply for the program (as either a mentor or mentee), visit the website.


The programs serve all Vancouver Island Communities.
