Occupational and Physical Therapy - Community Health Services (CHS)

Provided by Island Health

Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists work with the patient to restore, improve, or maintain physical independence and safety.
Community Rehabilitation Services are provided by physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the home and community. Community therapists work with those with complex physical, mobility, cognitive and/or environmental needs to optimize physical recovery and activities of daily living. • Maintain independence at home for activities of daily living and self-care,
  • Consider strategies to make the home more accessible and safe,
